At Praelum, we strive to be an institution for a person’s wine journey. Be it an aspiring sommelier, a wine enthusiast or someone who doesn’t know what wine is made of – we are happy to share.
From tastings, new collaborations or being a guide to wine certifications, there’s always something to discover with us. Led by our friendly (and seriously knowledgeable) sommeliers, expect sessions that are engaging, approachable, and never stuffy. Come curious.

Following the first session, Gerald is joined once again by Yi Ying, Assistant Head Sommelier at 67 Pall Mall Singapore, to explore how winemaking choices shape what ends up in the glass.
Across 6 wines tasted semi-blind over 3 flights, they’ll get into oak, stems, and minimal intervention — not just to pick favourites, but to figure out why each wine tastes the way it does.
A 2-hour exchange between 2 wine communities, built around Burgundy, curiosity, and a little healthy debate.

In the intro sessions, participants learn the international sommelier tasting grid, exploring wines and varietals while assessing appearance, aroma, and palate to identify varietal, region, and vintage. The advanced level adds 8 focused classes on grape families, helping participants recognise traits and sharpen their tasting skills.
6–9 wines per session, 75ml each, approx 180mins.
